This "life-cycle" topic is a superb closing presentation; it established my career. It is the most emotionally moving and introspective of the talks, generating big laughs and tears - and usually a standing ovation. Its focus on relationships makes it an especially useful session for couples. This is in video tape format.
Where We Gonna Live If We Wear It Out?
I am proud to have introduced environmental awareness to general audiences twenty years ago. I am more proud to have been a teacher and friend to another student who has surpassed me: Rick Piltz, whose blog - www.climatesciencewatch.org - will keep you abreast of the collision between climate science and politics in the Nation's capital.
And don't miss "Everything's Cool," the film that features Rick and many other workers - from mechanics to scientists - on the frontiers of understanding climate change.
This is the most important topic of our time. It will grow more so the next two decades. "Earth is alive: where we gonna live if we wear it out?" is a motivational talk for general audiences. It is more moving, humorous and personal. This presentation is cerebral, yet warm, not forbidding. It is entertaining as well as thought-provoking.
Why Our Changing Values Add Value. This is my "flagship" talk, my trademark. It makes a great conference opener. These are the concepts and ideas that can provoke discussion for several days. The general session version runs one to two hours and is excellent at 90 minutes. It is of personal interest - as well as professional - because it offers a thoughtful and entertaining look at generational differences within our families.
Gold Medal Winner, Outdoor Films, New York TV and Film Festival. CBC-TV filmed Dr. Longfellow's mountaineering seminar in the beauty of the Canadian Rockies.
Collector's Edition. This is a DVD transfer from the sole surviving VHS of that life-changing morning in Dallas, June 30, 1983. It certainly changed MY life, and, since the advent of the internet, I am receiving letters that suggest I wasn't alone.
"You changed my life, at an MDRT meeting in the early 80's, telling me about the changes through the cycle of life. I had thought I was the only one. I bought a VHS through the MDRT and it got worn out in the _____ agency. I want to think about those issues again, and you are the best. " Tom
